When your world starts spinning.

Three days we are to 14 camp. I wake up this morning spinning I have a bad case of vertigo. We planned a rest day after three days of hard work and it is a beautiful sunny day but I am too dizzy to walk much less climb the wall for our first cache. Jessy contacts mountain trip and consults doctors we start a series of Benadryl pills to clear up my inner ear and regain my balance. We are ahead of schedule and we take two days before my head clears we do a practice climb on a rock called the edge of the world. I do well but it has been two days of hell sitting in my tent just waiting trying to push back negative thoughts that this is it and I will either have to be flown down or walk. I call in a dispatch and try to sound happy but I get chocked up thinking they will hear this and it’s not all of the story. The truth is somewhere in between.

I am not sure what the lesson is maybe I jinxed myself by thinking preparation and training is all I need.

Maybe the Lesson is:

Sometimes when you least expect it the word starts spinning. Determine a direction up or down and follow it. Spinning around you stay where your are redetermine the direction gets things moving.
